Katie's Challenge

So my daughter-in-law Katie put this thing on her blog - the first 5 people to comment get a homemade gift from her. The catch was we had to put it on our blog too - so I like to make things for people, so that is okay. I have lots of baby things made now - so if you have need - that would be easy. Katie put a year time limit to get the gift there - I can go for that too. Ready, set, go.

  1. oooh me, me! yay for all of the little homemade things i may get this year! So does this mean that i also need to post this and make things? cause i don't know how i feel about that...actually it will feel good to flex my creative muscles a little.

  3. Mom, this is from stacey...she tried to comment herself but your comment thing is kind of finnicky.

Do ya have to be a "blogger" with a blog inorder to get in on the free gift? I'm just curious. That's not the only reason I am commenting here on your blog ;-) It has nothing to do with the fact that I know you make great stuff and have envy-worthy sewing skills. In fact, do you remember giving sewing lessons to me and my sister Shelley way back in the day? I recall making a floral print drop waist over the head type dress. I wore it for years...with pride :-)
Believe it or not I have been doing a little sewing lately. I am hand sewing little stuffed birds. Then I plan to glue gun them onto a cool branch from our yard and then hang it on a wall. Probably sounds strange so we'll see. I'll take a picture of it and send ya if youre interested to see.
Okay, I guess I'm really rambling now. Sorry, bad habit of mine.
Hope you are doing well. Love ya, miss ya, hope to see ya soon!

  6. Shellie...I counted...I think I'm #5. I would love something handmade from YaYa! I missed getting in on my girls' 5. I'll put my challenge on my blog today. Looking forward to it, even if it takes a year. Hugs to you, Lisa
